Huge news from the Yaks! First, as many of you know we've been working incredibly hard on our third studio album, and we're beyond excited to announce that we will be releasing "Safety Third" on the venerable Ropeadope Records! So many of our idols got their start on this label (Snarky Puppy, MMW, Charlie Hunter, DJ Logic to name a few) and we are honored to be part of the Ropeadope family.
Second, we're pleased to announce we've joined forces with Taur Management in Denver, home of Michal Menert & The Werks among other artists, and we could not be more excited for what's in store for 2018 and beyond!
The official release date for the album is September 7. However, we have had our album release party booked for months, and we need to give y'all something to listen to through the summer. SO - we will be releasing a special limited run prerelease version of the album at our show on 4/28 at the Star Theater in Portland with Mars Retrieval Unit. You will NOT be able to get the album anywhere else other than this run of shows. Don't sleep on this show as it will sell out! Event link and more info in the comments.
Much love to all our fans, family, and friends who have helped get us to this point. With a full team behind us, we're ready to get back in the lab and write the next generation of tunes.
